MeiLani Hock, Why Not Me!
Have you ever thought about getting into short-term rentals, but were not sure where to start? Perhaps you have thought about it but question if it will really work. Perhaps you think, “I don’t live in a vacation destination.” “A down payment costs too much.” “How much will it cost to furnish and run it?” “Is it really worth my time?” Well, my friend, you are not alone!
Investing in Airbnbs 101, we will discuss:
- The Three Types of Airbnb Hosting: Ownership, Arbitrage, and Co-Hosting- and how to determine which is the best fit for you.
- What makes Airbnb Hosting the best real estate investment going into 2022 as we compare it to Long Term Traditional Landlording and Rehabbing houses
- Turning it Full Time or Passive: How you can get involved in Airbnbs no matter what level of involvement you are looking for.
- And much, much more!
Join MeiLani Huck (author, podcast host, mentor) in this Don’t Miss event as she takes us on a journey to get a full understanding of the Airbnb investment industry going into 2022. Local expert Ron Mashburn will join MeiLani to explain nuances germane to Carolinas REIA, Asheville Metro and surrounding areas.
Plus, each attendee will receive free copies of the following downloadable PDFs from MeiLani!

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR OUR 3RD LIVE, IN PERSON AND SIMULCAST MAIN MEETING
Main Meeting(s): September 21st main meeting will be live face-to-face with simulcast options at Highland Brewing Company, 12 Old Charlotte Hwy, Asheville, NC 28803.
In alignment with State health and safety protocols, masks are now optional for members, guests, and venue partners. We encourage members, volunteers, venue partner staff who are not fully vaccinated to wear a mask at their discretion. We want you to feel comfortable and all are welcome to attend. The event venue at Highland Brewing Company is a large and a few disposable masks will be available for individuals who elect to wear but do not bring one. Highland routinely and systematically cleans and sanitizing the venue, especially high touch areas and shared surfaces. Highland has also added additional sinks and hand sanitizer stations. Upon arrival, CREIA may distribute and require a commitment statement as well as health waiver be signed.
If you feel safe in groups, we encourage you come on down and get face-to-face (OK, not TOO face-to-face) with your colleagues, potential partners, future buyers, sellers, and mentors, because that’s the BEST way to build those relationships.
And if not, or if you’re one of our valued out-of-area members, you can watch the meeting SIMULCAST on Zoom.
