Inspired to take on partner? Is it right for you and your business? Before making a decision, come to the Tuesday, February 15th main meeting to hear The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of Partnerships.
Think about successful partnerships whose real-life chemistry quickly crossed over into their careers and partnerships. In music, The Beatles, Queen, Beyoncé with Jay-Z come to mind; In business and technology: Napoleon Hill with Andrew Carnegie and Edwin C. Barnes with Thomas A. Edison, as well as Ben Cohen with Jerry Greenfield, Larry Page with Sergey Brin, Steve Jobs with Steve Wozniak and Bill Gates with Paul Allen, formed ultimate life changing partnerships. There are so many more examples and Many of them work out until they don’t. What makes them succeed? What makes them fail? Those two questions often have the very same answer, smart planning up front.
It’s important to have all the building blocks to strategically plan before entering into a partnership. So, at our Tuesday, February 15th general meeting we’ve asked a few CREIA members; Richard Coyne, Bill Zahller, Curtis Reid and Bryce Robertson, who met and built successful alliances to form their partnerships right here at CREIA, to share the good, the bad and the ugly about their partnerships.
There is an old saying, “There is strength in numbers.” This is especially true in real estate investing. On Tuesday, each will cover the basic characteristics of successful partnerships, where you’ll learn the benefits of having a business partner and advantages of doing joint venture projects. We will discuss how to divide partnership roles, the options you have to structure the purchase of a deal, and how to protect yourself when partnering or doing a joint venture.
If you believe that the real estate investment business is for YOU and you’re even considering taking on a partner, you need to attend the Tuesday, February 15th general meeting to see how that looks like in the real world from those in our CREIA community who are actually, successfully, doing it.
