But what happens when plan A becomes plan B and takes a sudden unexpected turn? What then? We all know that investing in real estate takes not only education but endurance, creativity, and openness to new ideas. New members (and old) want to hear the inner stories, the plans gone wrong, the DISASTERS!
That’s why we invented DISASTER NIGHT and asked a small group of seasoned investors to share with us at the next CREIA monthly meeting on Monday, November 8th at 5:30 p.m., Highland Brewing Company event center. The panel will share with us their war stories and what they did to turn them around, change their strategy or just plain get out. This will be a most valuable night for everyone – from those contemplating their first deal to those with years of experience. We all learn from each other continuously, which is the beauty of our organization and the networking and educational events it offers.
In addition to the panel’s shared experiences, with time allowing we will ask members who are in a current dilemma to tell the panel about their project and get some feedback on possible solutions. What an opportunity! What could go wrong?

Main Meeting(s): The Monday, November 8th main meeting will be live face-to-face with simulcast options at Highland Brewing Company, 12 Old Charlotte Hwy, Asheville, NC 28803.
In alignment with State health and safety protocols, masks are now optional for members, guests, and venue partners. We encourage members, volunteers, venue partner staff and those who are not fully vaccinated to wear a mask at their discretion. We want you to feel comfortable and all are welcome to attend.
The event venue at Highland Brewing Company is large and a few disposable masks will be available for individuals who elect to wear but do not bring one. Highland routinely and systematically cleans and sanitizing the venue, especially high touch areas and shared surfaces. Highland has also added additional sinks and hand sanitizer stations. Upon arrival, CREIA may distribute and require a commitment statement as well as health waiver be signed.
If you feel safe in groups, we encourage you come on down and get face-to-face (OK, not TOO face-to-face) with your colleagues, potential partners, future buyers, sellers, and mentors, because that’s the BEST way to build those relationships.
